I’m going to add a voip phone to my house and I was wondering if I need a new router? My current router is a 5 or 6 year old Mac. ( a little white square thing, I don’t know the model) On my network, I have 2 computers, one gets light use, the other moderate. I also have Netflix. I was wondering if my old router will be able to handle the new phone? Also, if I need a new router, what kind should I get?

I live in Pennsylvania. I have been talking with someone for three weeks now. There are a few issues though. He lives in Minnesota and there’s a five year age difference (meaning he’s starting his life when I’m starting college). I really want to see if it will work, but neither of us are too crazy about dating over the internet/phone. We’re also wary about meeting in person. We have each other’s facebook pages and we have skyped once before. I really like him and I want to get to know him better, because I’d like to be better friends before we start anything/want to meet him.
What should we do?

I try to charge my Skype dual phone but it doesn’t seem to charge, I know it isn’t the battery because I bought a new battery and put it in and let it charge for 24 hours. When I take it out of the charger it says “place in charger”

This summer, i resigned from my teaching position since my contract was not going to be renewed. I was offered a $3000 severence. I took it because i felt i would not be approved for unemployment benefits since they had dirt on me (write ups, tardy’s, etc). My last check was July 31. My husband had enough of his stressful, a**hole employers and quit in august! i wanted him to do this for 2 years but now!!?! Since Sept. till now (Dec) only water, electricity, cable/internet, phone and house are being paid although I’m 1-2months behind. Our income dropped from $6200 a month clear to $1900 a month. I am working part time for a home health agency. they don’t have alot of work for me ~yet! My husband went on his own, but its slow. My family needs food stamps but i hear you have to have almost nothing to qualify ( I live in Texas). I’m considering filing for unemployment just to see what may happen but its been 6 months and I am working. Obviously, collectors are hounding me for credit cards, loans etc. Our new income doesn’t cover the 5 things I am trying to pay. So, is there a govt. agency that helps families in these situations? I know things will get better, just need food and assistance for maybe 6months to a year.

I recently met a nice guy, and we immediately clicked. We met over a group skype phone call, and I have yet met him in person. He admitted to my friend that he likes me, and I also too. Though he and I both believe that we are just too young, we’re 15.I’m scared my feelings will change too easily, maybe in a month or two. Just today, my friend had revealed to me that he’s planning on telling me that he liked me in a few days. I’m really happy, but I wouldn’t know how to react and if he did confess, is he asking me out? I want to be his girlfriend but at the same time I don’t. What should I say? Should I accept? Please keep in mind that I did not come here to be scolded or chastised about Internet safety. I’ve heard the speech many times before by many a people, and I assure you, I know the dangers of it all. However, at 18 years of age and being extremely mature for my age, I’m positive I’m capable of making my own wise and thoughtful decisions.

Anywho, five years ago, I met a girl of my age through something you don’t generally hear in most stories like this – a large writers community on a very known website. Online, of course. We were both very big fans of writing and reading of the like, and we discovered that we even shared the same interest in TV shows and books. Of course, being the young age of 12, I was careful with concealing my identity. I revealed none of my personal information, other than the first letter of my name, so she could use it as a pseudonym. As she with I, I called her “S”.

The following two years we remained as the same casual friends – not revealing any information or anything of the sort. We spent the majority of the years talking, though we did occasionally get in to a few tiffs, as you would expect between any two normal teenage girls.
Only when I was 15, and when I noticed she had put a link to her Facebook on her profile, did I ever consider giving her any information. We became friends on facebook then, and honestly, it only caused us to get even closer!

Just this recent year, after four years, did we start talking via Skype, phoning each other, swapping cellphone numbers and addresses so we could write back and forth. I learned so much about her over the past years to trust her with that information, and vice versa. Only after a few Skype meetings did we talk about the possibilities of meeting each other sometime in the future, considering we had turned in to a wonderful pair of friends, despite our distance.

If you are a one person proprietorship. Do you need a business account for internet/phone or can you use a regular account in your name? Can you expense it for taxes using a personal account or do CRA scrutinize you for not having a business account?

Recently moved from the UK, so I need power cables for the following:
- External Hard Drive
- skype phone Base Station
- etc

These appliances come with a power cord from the socket to a small circular head that plugs into the said appliance.

I’ve looked in Walmart, and all they have is a mutihead adaptor for 18 bucks, when I really need just a power cord with the wall socket and the right size circular head.

Any advice is appreciated!
